| CIPP
(Cured-In-Place-Pipe) The cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) renewal process is the most universal trenchless method used in renovating gravity pipelines. CIPP liners can negotiate bends and variations in the pipe. Flexible fabric liners are impregnated with a thermosetting resin (Polyester, Vinyl Ester, or Epoxy) inserted into the existing pipeline, inflated and cured to create a seamless liner with the existing pipe material to form a tight fit. CIPP is designed as a complete structural repair. Trenchless sewer rehabilitation techniques such as CIPP offer a method of correcting pipe deficiencies with less disturbance than the traditional dig-and-replace methods. Economical by design, CIPP is a dependable, cost effective method for restoring structural integrity to sewers while maximizing flow capacity. During the CIPP renewal process, the liner is typically inserted into the existing pipe through a manhole. This method uses the existing pipe as a host for the new liner and offers a method of correcting pipe deficiencies from manhole-to-manhole. The process requires short installation and cure cycle times resulting in increased speed in the amount of pipe rehabilitation per day. |
